Return Policy

What is your return policy?

Hunt Cellars takes pride in hand crafting the finest quality wines for your enjoyment. Our goal is that all our customers are satisfied with their purchase. Per California state law, alcohol returns can only be accepted if the product is spoiled or otherwise unfit for consumption, or purchased in error.  We do our very best to monitor the weather and will delay shipments, whenever possible, if temperature extremes are forecasted. However, we cannot assume liability for wines that are overheated or frozen if weather changes should occur during transit. If purchased from the tasting room please handle your wine with care and do not leave in a vehicle over 70 degrees, we are not responsible for wine that is overheated once it leaves the tasting room. If your wine is shipped you have an opportunity to hold your shipment for hot weather or expedite the shipping, additional shipping costs will apply.

How do I return a product?

Please inspect all packages upon arrival . Should you need to return an item for any reason, please contact our Tasting Room department at (805) 237-1600 or email huntcellars@huntcellars.com

We use the best shipping quality shipping methods but If any items arrive broken, please contact us  within 48 hours of receiving your package to file a claim. Usually  we can  arrange to have the wine picked up. If possible, please keep the original package and its contents exactly as you found them. In order to process a claim we must have sufficient photographic evidence.

All of our wines are stored in a temperature-controlled environment and are in excellent condition when they leave our facilities. Any return request due to a defect in the product will be addressed on an individual basis. Wine must be returned with prior approval from Hunt Cellars. If you are not happy with the wine please be sure to keep the bottle, its unconsumed contents and the cork so that we may address your concern.  Make sure to provide customer name and address, date of purchase, product name and vintage, and reason for concern
